Christmas is a magical season and I’m lucky enough to enjoy its essence with utmost enthusiasm.
It was a fine Sunday with cool breeze. I decided to visit an untouched corner of Dehradun where one can breathe freely and smell the aroma of mother nature.
I went to Rajpur’s most popular place for food, “Cafe Marigold”.
It was a bit far from the whistles of the main city. The environment was absolutely calm and peaceful. I felt, as if I’m on the lap of Himalayas.
I met the owners of the cafe who introduced themselves with great poise and elegance.
To grace the occassion of Christmas even more, I ordered some interesting dishes to taste.

Here comes the food

I started with lung fung chicken soup. Personally, I liked it very much. The aroma was excellent. Chicken was also finely cooked. I would give it a rating of 4.5 out of 5.
Then, I had a glass of cold coffee with ice cream. It swiped its way into my heart
I chose Chinese bhel, Masala Cheese toast, Veg Hawaiian Sandwich and Chicken grilled sandwich as a part of my snacks. Well, Chinese bhel is an innovation out here. I liked every inch of it. It was truly great. I would smooch away to put a 5 star rating to this particular dish. The sandwiches were okayish. Those were a bit monotonous, actually. Could have been more interestingly prepared. I would give a 3.5 rating for these sandwiches.
Then, my heart craved for pastas and momos haha. I’m a white sauce pasta fan and I’m very partial towards it. Hence, I obviously liked it a lot. 4.5 out of 5, of course. Red sauce pasta with chicken went average, being deserved to achieve a 4.0 rating. The momos were absolutely delicious…. I liked every bit of the momos.

Gluttonous i am, hence i continued

I continued to order the Hong Kong style noodles and chopsuey and the main thing here is…. I could not understand the difference between both of these dishes while tasting. It was a bit similar. But overall, it was eatable. I would give a 3.5 rating out of 5.
I ordered a chicken platter and it was above average. They served parantha and Chicken curry. The aroma was not felt but the taste was good. I loved it. A 4.0 rating is truly appropriate for the platter.
Finally, I sent a friend request to the chocolate and walnut pancakes and a soul-seizer, tutty fruity. The texture was classy and it was a wonderful experience. A perfect 5 out of 5. ❤❤
