सर्वे भवन्तु सुखिनः ।
सर्वे सन्तु निरामयाः ।
सर्वे भद्राणि पश्यन्तु ।

ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः ।।

It was probably 8 or 9 A.M. I heard my mobile vibrating from afar. Whenever I wake up, early in the morning, I make sure to read all my messages. Hence, I started reading those just like my daily newspaper. Suddenly a messaged popped in, that I have been invited to attend a session in, Isha Yogashala, as a lifestyle blogger. I was really happy because this had happened to be my very first event as a lifestyle blogger. I quickly got ready, jumped into my car and made my way to the prescribed venue.
Let’s get to know about this place now. Isha Yogashala is one of a kind centre in Kolkata for practising “Hatha Yoga”. But what makes this place so special? As you already know that, Isha Yogashala ashrams are widespread over India and other countries but they never had any training centres hence, our city of joy boasts of having the first ever training centre of Isha Yogashala standing erect at 1-24A, Shakespeare Sarani. It is very easy to locate. Just opposite to the Standard Chartered Bank, you will see Indies Restaurant . You have to use the stairs and reach the very first floor to find Isha Yogashala.

The interiors are lavish. It is so beautiful that even adjectives fall apart. The moment I entered, this unique logo depicting “Surya” or Sun is placed beside engraved letters saying “Isha Yogashala”. The light orange background gives us a feel of peace and tranquility. This is a different world in itself. The two gigantic rooms had a picture of “Sadhguru” with a “Diya” or lamp placed in front of him to pay homage and respect. The first room shows us a wall depicting various positions of asanas and the second room (which is actually the main room for workshops and classes) has the best arrangement, I have seen so far. They keep pillows attached to the wall and this concept fascinated me a lot. Such innovative ideas not only pull customers but also, encourage you to work dedicatedly.

Wondering why these pillows are used? Well, you will be glad to know that, Isha Yogashala not only delivers important lectures or holds up discussions but while practising yoga, they do care about your comfort. While performing certain asanas you need to sit on something soft which not only gives comfort but also provides support on your back. While you face the front, you can see your gurus not only performing asanas but demonstrating you as well, so that it becomes easier for you to grasp the difficult positions and practise in a better and systematic manner. The white curtains acted as veil which constantly moves and helps me recollect my childhood memories revolving around free hand exercises and yogasanas. The atmosphere was peaceful and calm, giving me a hint of enlightenment at every corner of the room. This place is a package of happiness, holistic wellness, divinity and enlightenment.

They have an amazing array of organic products which are displayed while you enter. Right on the left-hand side, you will be able to see their huge collection starting from Neem Powder, herbal drinks, Nelli Podi, Horsegram rice mix, raw Himalayan honey, Turmeric capsules to great variety of books and magazines, turmeric revitalising cream, Kumkumaadi radiance cream and much more. Yes, these are trustworthy products and as you know I am a die-hard fan of Ayurvedic/natural/herbal products, I couldn’t resist myself from taking such great photographs. Also, a very big positive side of these kind of products is, they have less or rather zero side effects. Hence, it is always better to be on the safer side. Have a look at the photographs and I am sure you cannot hold back from trying these.

I had a brief introduction with one of the mentors of Isha Yogashala who made me aware of the reason of its existence. It is an unmatched opportunity to learn and exercise yogic practices which were once practised in ancient period, on a regular basis programme. However, yogic traditions surprisingly didn’t fade away because of the rise of Kalyuga. Rather, it rose gigantically due to some eminent yoga practitioners like Sadhguru. All programmes and comprehensive sessions are conducted by trained mentors who have undergone hours and hours of rigorous training at the Isha Yoga Centre and are certified by the Isha School of Hatha Yoga. Under the guidance of Sadhguru, these mentors offer classical Hatha Yoga sessions.
Isha Yogashala offers five ancient and powerful practices that transform the body and mind into greater possibilities: Upa Yoga, Angamardana, Surya Kriya, Yogasanas, and Bhuta Shuddhi. These are not only responsible to keep you healthy and wealthy, but also brings you closer to enlightenment (provided, you take it seriously and practise on a regular basis programme).
These programs do not have any prerequisites. They are suitable for novice as well as those who may consider themselves as professionals of yoga. If you have planned for enrolling in their monthly/yearly programmes, then probably you have made a very good decision for yourself. They offer individual programmes for pregnant women. The membership pricing depends on the duration of membership and frequency of guided sessions chosen. Have a look at this chart to know about the pricing in detail:

We were taught the very basic “Surya Kriya” by one of the mentors. He was so passionate about performing every single step with ease and perfection. We were also enthralled by the poise and diction of demonstrating his yogic performance, live by a young lady who works as a mentor as well. They were kind enough to introduce themselves and about certain yogic traditions. Although I had a hard time performing yoga **sobs for putting on a little bit of pounds** but they never made me feel uncomfortable for it. Their hospitality, perseverance, patience, sincerity and dedication made me realize that world is still a better place to live in.

Fresh handcrafted soap is something which you can’t just ignore. Not only because of the genuinity of the product, but the aroma which these soaps exhibit is alluring. Every single inch of it is, worth the price. This herbal honey soap cleanses our skin and makes our skin look soft and smooth.
Ingredients: Sodium salts of Stearic acid, coconut fatty acid, Propylene Glycol, Lauryl Alcohol, Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulphate, Coco Betaine, Tetra Sodium EDTA, Honey Perfume, FD&C Red no. 40, D&C Green no. 5.
Remember peeps, this is for external use only. It is better if you keep these kind of products away from children. One should discontinue using it, if there is a sign of rash, redness or something synonymous to the latter ones.
